At Burnley Athletic Club, our Junior Development section is where the athletic journey begins. Following the England Athletics 365 programme, we focus on building fundamental movement skills in a structured, safe, and most importantly fun environment.

Our qualified UK Athletics coaches focus on multi-skill development, meaning every child gets to try every event and discover what they love.

Relay races, sprinting drills, and pacing games to build speed and aerobic endurance.

Developing co-ordination, balance, and safe flight mechanics in the long jump pit.

Learning the fundamentals of power and precision using soft javelins and shot.

We actively encourage juniors to run the free Sunday 2km event at Towneley Park.
